What to expect
The competition format is kept as simple as possible: no material restrictions, simple slalom course, uncomplicated processes, few rules and everyone gets the same competition time on the water.
Due to the division into two disciplines, non-foiling windsurfers are also well looked after. In the “Fin only Division” you only start with a fin (from approx. 12 knots). Those who also (or only) foil start in the “Mixed (Fin&Foil) Division”, where the participants choose whether they start with foil or fin.
In addition to the regatta program on the water, there is also an attractive supporting program on land. The Surffestival, with its own program items and the many exhibitors, already provides an extensive repertoire, which we round off with a joint dinner on Saturday and a large raffle. The highlight at the end is the big award ceremony on the main stage.
Accommodation is self-sufficient for this event. It is advisable to book a “beach camp ticket” for the Surffestival early (https://www.surffestival.de/beachcamp/).
